This wonderful 1924 Haight Street building has 12 studio units, all with the same basic floor plan. With twelve tenants we have at least twelve (some couples) visions about decoration. This section contains photographs of several units as currently occupied and decorated. Although a picture is worth a thousand words, you still must visit the apartments yourself to truly appreciate their value. Call Jeffrey to make an appointment.

959 Haight Street - The Rose Garden Back to top

959 Haight Street has a standard city lot -- 37.5 ft. wide by 137.6 ft. deep. The Southern part of the property is a garden. Well, actually it's a mind-blowing, world-class rose garden. Yes, there are other wonderful plants, but the roses are, in the words of my friend, "to die for."

There's no way that photographs can express the sense of the garden. (Does your camera capture smell?) The photos below are a rather rude attempt to capture the view of the garden from the third floor. The camera is an Olympus C-3000. The photographer is a rank amateur.

Haight Street - Tenant Decorating Ideas Back to top

During the several years I've owned this building I've seen a truly captivating variety of living styles. It's not for me to judge how people live. You've certainly seen the variety of art in museums from representational to abstract. As a housing provider I've seen cluttered, packed units to sparse and clean units.

It's not my job to judge how people live. I am providing this information to help you choose a style with which you are comfortable.

2011 October There IS now a laundry in the building.
There are laundromats available on Haight near Steiner and on Divisadero near Oak. I'll get exact locations someday...

2011 October - There is a garage space available in the building.
I don't know of any monthly garages in the area. There are some in Haight Ashbury.
