     14:33 CST No Data Servers

     16:20:03  Missed 15:48 train by 20 seconds.  It was just pulling out of
     station.  The rail clock said 15:49 and my Cingular phone said 15:47
     I went to see the NJ Transit Stationmaster at Customer Service but
     there is no such person.
     I spoke with Tiffany Fuller, Supervisor, Customer Service
     Her printed card has a wrong email address tmfuller@njtransit.com but
     she wrote her correct email address tfuller@njtransit.com on the card.
     She was initially suspicious and didn't want to give me her card.
     They do not have customer complaint forms but she said she would take
     my complaint.  I asked if there was a complaint form on the web and
     she said that there was.
     I told her of the time discrepancy -- at her window my Cingular phone
     was two minutes behind the rail status board clock.  She checked two
     Verison cell phones which both agreed with the rail clock.
     She then said she also had a Cingular company cell phone and that
     phone had the same time as my Cingular cell phone.  She said she also
     missed trains by using the time on the Cingular cell phone.
     16:29:08  I'm on the 16:07 which just started moving again.  It has
     been delayed by switch problems just outside the tunnel.
     16:40:08  Just left Secaucus.  No open wireless networks yet.
     17:20:27  Just outside Woodbridge.  No open wireless networks yet.

     17:28:11  Data Server Not Available -- 4440 bytes transferred.
     17:43:15  Coming into Mattewan.  No open wireless networks yet.
     17:47:11  Mattewan - Called Failed

Questions About Time Synchronization

1. How is the cell phone time updated from the cell tower?

2. How accurate should one expect cell phone time to be?

3. How are the Cingular server clocks synchronized?

4. What time source is used by Cingular servers?

5. Are there server logs available that record update activity?

6. On 2006/12/01 about 16:00 EST it appears that my Cingular cell phone time was advanced by about two minutes. Are there any logs which show this time update?

7. What are the most frequent causes of time synchronization failure?

8. How often do time synchronization failures occur?

9. Is there anywhere on your web site that discusses these issues?

10. Who may I contact to discuss these problems?

2. I have not been able to access My Minutes for a long time. What has happened to the servers that support this function?
